An experimental research for local injection of antitumor drugs
5-Fu
MMC
Epi-ADR
in mice was designed to select out the highest effective concentrations of these drugs which would be tolerable to normal tissue. (1) Subcutaneous injection of the above three drugs in serial concentrations into the abdominal wall of mice were performed
and 5-Fu 10mg/ml
MMC 50ug/ml
Epi-ADR 50fig/ml were found to be the relatively high concentrations which did not cause necrosis of normal tissue
and were safe for local injection. (2) The experimental tumor were established by subcutaneous implantation of Ehrlich tumor cells into the back of mice. Three drugs were injected into the tumors in above concentrations respectively After 7 days
the growth of tumor in all three groups was inhibited compared with that in control group (P<0.01). The pathological examination also showed that the tumor cell presented obvious degeneration and necrosis wereas the adjacent normal tissue remained intact
