The rcproducibility of the middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCA-o)model on SD rat

and the method of quantitative analysis for this model were studied.MCA -o was made by using of electrocoagulatic method. During operating

and considering the vessel variation of MCA which could influence the model’s reproducibility. The infarct volume.histopatholog-ical changes

and neurological deficits were observed. The results were indicated that the reproducibility of cerebral infarction induced by this model was good. The variation coeffecient of infarct volume on 6h
