Seventy patients with retinoblastoma treated by postoperative radiotherapy are reported. All except one have been followed up for more than 5-10 years. The overall 1-
5- and 10- year survival rates were 60.0%
5i.4% and 46.9% respectively. The 5- and 10-year survival rates were 100.0% and 100.0% for Stage I (12 patients)
66.7% and 66.7% for Stage I(9 patients)
44.4% and 40.0% for Stage III (27 patients) and 35.3% and 35.3% for Stage IV (17 pntients). The patients without involvement of optic nerve or/and without the interval more than a month between operation and radiotherapy had a favourable prognosis. The patients received 4500-5500 cGy had the best 5- and 10- year survival rates (p<0.05)
