The afferent segmental distribution of the acupoint UB-32 and uterus in the rat have been studied by using of HRP (horse-radish peroxidase) . The HRP was applied to the acu-point UB-32 or injected to the intramuscular layer of the uterus. The results are as follow s.1).There are 9 segments overlapped from L.2 to S.4 between the acupoint UB-32 and uterus. Both have a lot of labelled cells in S.2 and S.3 segments. 2). The authors also found that the primary afferent fibers of the rat mainly eater the lumbar spinal cord along the hy-pogastric nerve

the next is along the pelvic splanchnic nerve. 3). There are three kind of cells. large(35-50μ)

median(25-34μ) and small types(-24μ) discovered. But mostly they are median and small types (about 90% in whole).The mechanism of the referred pain and acupuncture anesthesia
