Objective:To observe the assisting role of psychological intervention during physiological vitreous floaters treated with YAG laser. Methods:A hundred patients of physiological vitreous floaters were chosen and randomly divided into two groups. The experi-mental group accepted YAG laser treatment and adopted psychological intervention
while the control group underwent YAG laser treatment and routine nursing care. The two groups respectively filled Kessler Psychological Distress Scale(K-10)before treatment
and 3 months after treatment they accepted clinical efficacy evaluation and filled K-10 again. Results:Before treatment
the results of K-10 of the two groups had no statistical difference(P>0.05). Three months after treatment
the results of K-10 of the two groups had statistical difference compared with that of before(P<0.05)
and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05)
the psychological pressure of decreased more significantly in experimental group than in control group. Three months after treatment
the patients of experimental group felt better remission of their visual disturbance and had higher overall satisfaction than those of control group
the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Psychological intervention can significantly improve the therapeutic effect of YAG laser in the treatment of physiological vitreous floaters.
