Objective:To establish a stable animal model of intrauterine adhesion by mechanical and infection
to measure the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) and to evaluate their relationship with the formation of adhesion
in order to provide a experimental platform for the next research. Methods:The uterus from 6 healthy mature female Chinese pastoral dogs were collected and divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group. The right uterine endometriums were collected and evaluated using HE staining
Masson’s stain and SP immunohistochemistry. Results:The endometrial thickness of treatment group(2.325±0.399)was thinner than that(3.025±0.466)of control group;the number of endometrial glands of treatment group(4.388±1.774)was significantly fewer than that(16.518±4.421)of control group;the endometrial fibrosis area(0.775 ±0.040) was significantly higher than that(0.329 ±0.062) of control group. The expression levels of VEGF(5.967±0.390)and TGF-β1(6.200±0.306)in endometrium of treatment group were significantly higher than those(1.700±0.823)and(1.100±0.361)in the control group. Conclusion:The animal model of intrauterine adhesions are constructed successfully by mechanical and infective method. The high expressions of VEGF and TGF-β1 may be closely related with the occurrence of intrauterine adhesion.
