Objective:To explore the association between serum neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and vascular lesions in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients. Methods:A total of 211 T2 DM patients were recruited and divided into four groups:simple T2DM(T)group
complicated with lower extremity arteries atherosclerosis(L)group
complicated with cervical arteries atherosclerosis(C)group
complicated with lower extremity arteries and cervical arteries atherosclerosis(LC) group. The clinical and biochemical data were collected for comparing the difference in NLR among four groups with the method of one way ANOVA and LSD multiple comparisons. Results:The results showed that NLR mean values of L group
C group
LC group were bigger than those of T group(P<0.05).Age
diastolic pressure
low density lipoprotein-cholesterol
NLR were important risk factors for vascular lesions in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Conclusion:NLR level is associated with vascular lesions in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
