Objective:To investigate the correlation between genetic variants of CRHR1

FKBP5 in hypothalamus-pituitaryadrenal(HPA)axis and suicide attempts(SA)among youth. Methods:DNA was obtained from bloods of 187 subjects

including 71 young man with SA and 116 healthy young people as control. Six single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)(rs110402

rs7728378)were genotyped with the improved multiple ligase detection reaction(i MLDR). Binary logistical regression analyses were performed to evaluate the contribution of individual genetic variants to the prediction of SA and haplotype analysis was done for each gene. Results:Between cases and controls

there was no statistical difference in genotype distribution and allelic frequencies of six genetic locus(P >0.05). No haplotype showed significant association with SA(P >0.05). After adjusting history of mental illness

inheritance model analysis showed significant associations between rs7728378 and SA. Codominant model:C/T(OR=3.53
