Objective:To know the prevalence of impaired fasting glucose(IFG)in the physical examination population in the Western New City of Chongqing
and to analyze the relationship between IFG and high lipid and other risk factors. Methods:The clinical data of 4 558 persons who were admitted to physical examination in the University-Town Hospital of Chongqing Medical University since January to July in 2015 were retrospectively analyzed
and present situation and influence factors of IFG were comparatively analyzed.Results:The prevalence of IFG was 23.74%(1 082/4 558). Male(OR=1.56
P=0.000)
older(OR=2.25
P=0.000;OR=3.21
P=0.000)
hyper-triglyceridemia(OR=1.16
P=0.001)
hyper-total cholesterol(OR =1.35
P =0.001)
hyperuricemia(OR =1.26
P =0.026)
hyperblood pressure(OR=1.89
P=0.000)
and overweight or obesity(OR=2.48
P=0.001;OR=3.15
P=0.000)all were risk factors of IFG.Conclusion:The prevalence of IFG is high in the physical examination population. It is important to pay more attention to the risk factors
and adopt positive intervention measures to prevent diabetes effectively.
