Liver sinusoidal endothelial cell(LSEC)is a highly differentiated cell type in the liver blood sinus. It plays an important role in the development of liver fibrosis. LSEC dysfunction has been considered as a key event in multiple liver disorders. At present
the studies on hepatic fibrosis in the domesticand abroad are mainly focused on the inhibition of hepatic stellate cell(HSC)activation and accelerating the hydrolysis of extracellular matrix(ECM)
and the role of LSEC structure and function in liver fibrosis is seldom studied. In this paper
we summarize the research progress of LSEC in the development of hepatic fibrosis
and the research progress of LSEC on hepatic fibrosis in recent years.
