Objective:To investigate the correlation of 25-hydroxyvitaminD
3
and insulin resistance with papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC). Methods:Totally 358 patients diagnosed with PTC from September 2014 to September 2015 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were randomly selected and taken as observation group and 290 healthy volunteers as control group. The 25-hydoxy vitaminD
3
fasting blood glucose
fasting insulin of all the members were detected and the expression of BRAFV600 E in PTC was explored. Independent-sample t test
Pearson correlation analysis and logistic regression analysis were used. Results:(1) Significant lower 25-hydoxy vitaminD
3
concentration(P=0.000)and higher insulin resistance index(IRI)were found in the PTC group(P=0.000).(2)A significant decrease in 25-hydoxy vitaminD
3
concentration
age(P=0.000
P=0.002)and increase in IRI(P=0.000)were found in patients with lymph node metastasis or BRAF
V600E
;25-hydoxy vitaminD
3
concentration had no relation with IRI in patients with PTC.(3)Binary logistic regression analysis showed high insulin resistance and female were risk factors for PTC
while high 25-hydoxy vitaminD
3
was protective factor. Conclusion:High 25-hydoxy vitaminD
3
may be a protective factor for PTC. Improving the insulin sensitivity may help prevent the occurrence and development of PTC.
