Objective　To explore the heuristic practice teaching mode and its effectiveness of medical imageology under network environment. Methods 70 clinical graduate students and physi-cians-in-training were assigned randomly to the control group or the experimental group

all of whom accepted practice teaching training under PACS and network environment; Meanwhile

the experimental group accepted heuristic teaching training as well. The effect evaluation of the practice teaching was made through theory test

practice test and questionnaire survey. Data processing was done by the sta-tistical function of Excel data tables

Software of SPSS 20.0 was used to make statistical analysis. The results were compared with t test. Results　In the experimental group

the scores of the exam (theory and practice were 59.87±13.79 and 65.46±16.81

respectively) were better than the control group (47.26±13.43

53.68±14.96)

the difference was statistically significant (t=3.8636

0.0028). For their teaching mode

the recognition degree of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. Very good opinion accounted for 42.31% (11/26) in the experimental group

and the control group was 23.08% (6/26). While “Skilled use of PACS” accounted for 26.92% (7/26) in the experimental group

the control group was 7.69% (2/26). Conclusion　Under PACS and network environment

the heuristic practice teaching mode of medical imageology has a better teaching effect

which is worthy of popular-ization.
