Objective To explore the effect of cognitive load diet education combined with early personalized nursing on pregnancy outcomes in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). Methods A total of 132 patients with GDM admitted to a hospital in Zhengzhou from July 2019 to July 2021 were selected and randomly assigned to the observation group and control group
with 66 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received routine nursing
and the patients in the observation group cognitive load diet education combined with early personalized nursing. Patients in both groups received intervention for 14 days. Negative emotions [self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)
self-rating depression scale(SDS)]
blood glucose levels [fasting plasma glucose(FPG)
2 h plasma glucose(2 h PG)]
compliance after intervention and pregnancy outcomes were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results The SAS and SDS scores of the two groups after intervention were lower than those before intervention
and the observation group was lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The compliance rates of medication
blood glucose monitoring and regular examination after intervention in the observation group were 95.45%
96.97% and 95.45%
respectively
which were higher than those in the control group(81.82%
83.33% and 78.79%
respectively)
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence rate of adverse pregnancy outcomes in the observation group was 3.03%
which was lower than that in the control group(13.64%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusion The cognitive load diet education in combination with early personalized nursing is conducive to reducing the negative emotions of patients with GDM
improving compliance
lowering blood glucose levels and the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
