Objective To explore the effect of child-friendly nursing in the induction of anesthesia for pediatric general anesthesia surgery.Methods Seventy-six children who underwent general anesthesia surgery in a hospital in Zhengzhou from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected as subjects and divided into a study group（n=36） and a control group（n=40） using the random number table method.The children in the control group received conventional perioperative intervention

and the children in the study group received child-friendly nursing intervention.The scores of the Children’s Depression Rating Scale（CDRS） and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children（STAIC） before and after the intervention

the degree of anesthesia induction compliance after nursing

the family satisfaction and the occurrence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference in STAIC and CDRS scores of children between the 2 groups before the intervention（P>0.05）;the STAIC and CDRS scores of children between the 2 groups after the intervention were lower than those before the intervention

and the study group had lower scores than the control group

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.The induction compliance rate of the children in the study group was 77.78%

which was higher than that of the control group（52.50%）

and the difference was statistically significant（χ2=5.286

P=0.022）.The nursing satisfaction for the families of the children in the study group was 94.44%

which was higher than that in the control group（77.50%）

and the difference was statistically significant（χ2=4.395

P=0.036）.There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of postoperative adverse events in children between the 2 groups（χ2=0.707

P=0.401）.Conclusion The application of child-friendly nursing intervention in the induction of anesthesia for pediatric general anesthesia surgery is effective in reducing perioperative anxiety in children and improving their compliance with anesthesia induction and family satisfaction.
