Objective To explore the clinical effect of naloxone combined with injectable methylprednisolone sodium succinate in the treatment of severe pneumonia combined with heart failure. Methods Seventy-eight patients with severe pneumonia combined with heart failure admitted to a hospital in Henan Province from March 2018 to March 2020 were selected as study subjects and divided into control group and observation group using a random number table method
39 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional treatment.Patients in the control group were treated with injectable methylprednisolone sodium succinate
and patients in the observation group were treated with naloxone combined with injectable methylprednisolone sodium. The efficacy
duration of symptoms and signs
improvement in cardiac function
and changes in blood gas indexes were compared between the 2 groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment for patients in the observation group was 94.87 %
which was higher than that of the control group(71.79%)
and the difference was statistically significant(χ
2
=7.477
P
<
0.05).LVEF was higher after treatment in both groups
and it was higher in the observation group than in the control group.LVESD and LVEDD were lower after treatment in both groups
and they were lower in the observation group than in the control group. All differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05).PaO
2
and PaO
2
/FiO

were higher in both groups after treatment
and they were higher in the observation group than in the control group.PaCO
2
was lower in both groups after treatment
and it was lower in the observation group than in the control group. All differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05).Conclusion Naloxone combined with injectable methylprednisolone sodium succinate is effective in the treatment of severe pneumonia combined with heart failure
as it helps to improve patients’ cardiac function and blood gas index and improve their prognosis.
