Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of preoperative rehabilitation training combined with postoperative electroacupuncture and muscle patch therapy for postoperative anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of the knee. Methods Sixty patients admitted to the Department of Orthopedic Rehabilitation of a hospital in Henan Province from January 2016 to January 2020 after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of the knee were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table
with 30 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional rehabilitation training
and patients in the observation group used preoperative rehabilitation training combined with postoperative electroacupuncture and muscle patch therapy on the basis of the control group. The knee mobility
knee circumference
visual analog scale(VAS) scores
Lvsholm scores
International Knee Documentation Committee(IKDC) scores
and 36-item short form(SF-36) scores before and after treatment were compared between the 2 groups. Results After treatment
the IKDC scores
Lysholm scores and SF-36 scores were higher than those before treatment in both groups
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS scores and knee circumference dropped significantly in both groups
and those in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).The knee mobility of the two groups was significantly greater than that before treatment
and that in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Preoperative rehabilitation training combined with postoperative muscle patch and electroacupuncture can help reduce pain
improve knee mobility and function
and improve the quality of life of patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of the knee.
