Objective To analyze the medication situation of hypertension patients in a community health service center of Chongqing
and to provide basis for guiding the rational drug use of hypertension patients in the community. Methods We collected 3 779 outpatient prescriptions(prescriptions with clinical diagnosis of hypertension)from January 2018 to December 2018 in community health service center.Statistical analysis on the application of oral antihypertensive drugs was conducted in terms of the administration varieties
consumption sum
defined daily dose system(DDDs)
defined daily cost(DDC)
and drug combination etc. Results All prescriptions involved 843 patients with hypertension
including 358 males and 485 females and the age range was 31-97 years. There were 740 patients(87.79%)over 55 years old.The highest sales amount of anti-hypertensive drugs was calcium channel blocker(CCB)(54.66%)
followed by angiotensionⅡreceptor blocker(ARB)(38.67%).Levamlodipine
Candesartan
Telmisartan ranked at the first 3 place of DDDs.Among 843 patients
386(45.79%)were treated with single drug
336(39.86%)with double drug
and 36(4.27%)with triple drug. The combination CCB and ARB was the most frequently used two-drug regimen in the patients receiving combination therapy(82.73%)
besides CCB+ ARB+βreceptor blocker(β-RB)was the main combination in triple combinations(52.78%).Conclusion The types of antihypertensive drugs and antihypertensive treatment plan in the community clinic are basically reasonable
but the economy of drug use is not good
and the multidrug combination plan still needs to be further standardized. In addition
clinical pharmacists should pay more attention to the use of CCB and ARB drugs
especially the potential drug interactions
so as to reduce the incidence of adverse drug reactions and improve the compliance of patients.
