Objective To investigate the effects of individualized pulmonary rehabilitation training on exercise tolerance
mental status and quality of life in patients with moderate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Thirty-two patients with moderate COPD treated in a respiratory center of a hospital in Chongqing from January to March 2018 were selected as the research subjects. The patients were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group using random number table
with 16 cases in each group.Routine health education was given to both groups
and patients in the experimental group received individualized Pulmonary rehabilitation training in addition. The 6-minute walking distance
COPD assessment test(CAT)score
forced expiratory volume in 1 second expressed as a percentage of its predicted value(FEV1/pre%)and scores in the Beck Depression Scale and Beck Anxiety Scale of both groups before and after intervention were compared. Results At week 12 of intervention
the 6-minute walking distance of the experimental group was(396.52±85.02)m
which was longer than that of the control group(345.52±83.13)m.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At week 12 of intervention
there was no improvement in FEV1/pre%in the two groups
and there was no significant difference in FEV1/pre%between the two groups(P>0.05).At week 12 of intervention
the CAT
Baker Depression Scale
and Baker Anxiety Scale scores in the experimental group were(20.90±10.79)points
(2.27±2.49)points and(2.74±1.81)points
all lower than those in the control group
which were(23.83±10.12)points
(10.24±6.35)points and(9.51±4.89)points
respectively. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Accompanying routine health education with individualized pulmonary rehabilitation can better increase patients′6-minute walking distance
improve clinical symptoms
and regulate patients′anxiety
depression and other negative emotions. The clinical effect is significant
