Objective To assess the effect of vibration training alone on bone mineral density(BMD)in postmenopausal women.Methods Using"vibration training"
"bone mineral density"and "postmenopausal Women"as the key words
the Web of Science database was searched to identify articles evaluating the effect of vibration training alone on BMD in postmenopausal women.The Jadad scale was used to assess the quality of the included studies
and statistical analysis was performed by using Review Manager 5.2 software.Results A total of 9 articles were included in the literature
7 in high-quality literature and 2 in low-quality literature.Meta-analysis results:Weighted Mean Difference(WMD)of the lumbar spine was 0.01
95% CI(0.00
0.02)
P=0.000 5
but severe heterogeneity(I
2
=69%)
sensitivity through simple vibration training for postmenopausal women′s lumbar spine bone mineral density analysis
heterogeneity was reduced(I
2
=22%)
its WMD=0.01
95% CI was(0.01
0.01)
P=0.000 01
suggesting that the lumbar spine bone density of women in the simple vibration training group was higher than that of the control group.Statistical significance;WMD of the femoral neck bone density was 0.01
95%CI was(0.01
0.01)
P=0.002
suggesting that the femoral neck bone density of the female vibration training group was higher than that of the control group
the difference was statistically significant;hip joint The bone mineral density WMD=-0.00
95% CI was(-0.01
0.00)
P=0.42
suggesting that the female hip joint bone density in the simple vibration training group and the control group was not statistically significant;the greater trochanter bone density WMD=0.02
95%CI was(0.01
0.03)
P=0.002
suggesting that the female trochanter bone density in the simple vibration training group was higher than that in the control group
but the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion Vibration training alone may increase the BMD of lumbar spine
femoral neck and greater trochanter
while its effect on the BMD of hip joint is not significant in postmenopausal women.
