Objective To explore the relationship between psychological capital and life satisfaction.Methods Using psychological capital questionnaire and life satisfaction index questionnaire to investigate 259 residents of Cao Jaliang community.Results The results indicated that no significant differences were found between the psychological capital scores of sex

age and occupation.Concerning the psychological capital scores of residents with different working years

and remained so when comparing life satisfaction among residents with diverse working years（F=2.98

psychological capital positively correlated with life satisfaction（r=0.364）.Conclusions The level of psychological capital and life satisfaction among residents in Cao Jaliang community is relatively high as a whole

but it declines when people working for 3to 5years.Therefore

actions should be taken from the aspects of establishing positive psychological capital model and providing psychological assistance for target residents

which will help enhance their psychological capital and life satisfaction.
