Objective To discuss the clinical effect of combination use of scutellaria baicalensis georgi and Moist Exposed Burn Ointment（MEBO）in the treatment of chronic intractable skin ulcer in aged patients.Methods The study was carried on by selecting 60 old patients with chronic intractable skin ulcer from Nov.2012 to Nov.2014 in one of Xiangyang hospital.Patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 30 cases in each one

which was shorter than that of control group with significant difference（P<0.05）.The assessment scores of patients in observation group after treatment with red and swollen

and they were all higher than those of control group.The differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.after 15 dand 30dof treatment

the scores of SF-36 in the observation group were 85.06±11.35and92.69±14.21 respectively which were significantly higher than those in the control group（P<0.05）.Conclusion Combination use of scutellaria baicalensis georgi and MEBO in the treatment of chronic intractable skin ulcer in aged patients can relieve swollen and pain

and shorten healing time.The curative effect is significant

so the treatment deserves to be promoted.
