Objective To study the status quo and problems of pharmacy intravenous admixture services（PIVAS）in China.Method Based on the database sources of China National Knowledge Infrastructure（CNKI）

etc.Results The number of papers published on the theme increased gradually from all hospitals nationwide between 2001 and 2013.The number of PIVAS institutions was the highest in the coastal areas of East China.The distribution of PIVAS was mainly in the first-class general hospitals.For the first-class hospitals from all provinces

there were no significantly statistical differences in PIVAS area

number of beds and daily dosing volume compared with the national average.Conclusion In recent years

the development of PIVAS has increased in China

the related research has been improved a lot and academic exchanges have been extended

but we still need to strengthen the study of PIVAS design criteria and analyze the feasibility of establishing PIVAS in Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals

the coordination of PIVAS and prescription automatic screening（PASS）and the cost and benefit of PIVAS so as for administrative authorities to promote the establishment of standard charge as soon as possible.
