Objective To explore and compare the efficacy and safety of Etomidate and Propofol combined with Remifentanil in painless gastroscopy.Method The data of 328 cases of patients with painless gastroscopy received in Daping Hospital from February to April 2014 were retrospectively analyzed to compare the arterial blood pressure
heart rate
oxygen saturation and adverse reactions before
during and after the painless gastroscopy between Etomidate group and Propofol group. Results The patients in Etomidate group had stable blood pressure before
during and after the painless gastroscopy and the effects were more significant than the Propofol group;the incidence of hypotension in the Etomidate group was lower than the Propofol group;the analepsia of patients in the Propofol group was more thorough than the Etomidate group. Conclusion The use of Etomidate and Remifentanil for anesthesia in painless gastroscopy is safe and effective with little side effect to blood pressure
