Objective To observe the clinical effect of treating DPN through the fumigation of Danggui Sini Decoction in combination with Mecobalamin.Method To select 80 cases of DPN patients having received medical treatment in a period from June 2013 to December 2013
and divide them into comparison group and experiment group at random. Those of the former group were treated by injections of Mecobalamin monitored by stable blood sugar control
while those of the latter group were given fumigation of Danggui Sini Decoction besides the same treatment of the former group. The treatments for both groups lasted for two weeks after which nerve conductive velocity and changes in the threshold value of sensing tremble before and after the treatments were observed and the clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results The nerve conductive velocity and the threshold value of sensing tremble for both groups were improved in the wake of the treatments as compared with the state prior to the treatments(P<0.05)
while the varied post-treatment outcome measures of the experiment group were markedly superior to those of the comparison group(P<0.05).The overall effective rate for the experiment group was 90.0%
while that of the comparison group was 80.0%
and the comparative differences of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Treating DPN through the fumigation of Danggui Sini Decoction in combination with Mecobalamin can markedly improve nerve conductive velocity and the clinical effect.
