Objective To evaluate the health conditions of faculty members

then to provide a basis for the medical health care in colleges.Method Medical examinations of 416 in-service faculty members in our college were analyzed in 2009.Results The detection rate of various diseases or abnormity is 82.45%

and the rate in male（85.18%）is higher than in female（75.90%）.There was statistical significance（P<0.05）.The four leading diseases were hyperlipidemia（34.13%）

hyperuricemia（25.00%）

fatty liver（18.27%）and hypertension（16.35%）.The data also shows a tendency that the detection rate would increase with age.Conclusions The physical health conditions of our staff are not optimistic.The high detection rate of metabolic diseases requires reinforcement of disease prevention education.
