Objective To know the status of college stndents’ contraceptive knowledge

to provide scientific basis for promoting high quality reproductive health education.Method A self-designed questionnaire survey was completed among 335 students on grade 2006 and 2008 of Guangdong Business Studies University.Results In the knowledge of contraceptive methods

condom use and contraceptive pills use take the highest awareness rates（98.5% and 96.7%

respectively）;with 77.0% or 73.1%of them respectively knowing how to use them.47.2% of the students do not know the urgent contraceptive method.Only 45.7% of the students realize the conventional contraception can’t be replaced with the urgent contraception.College students mostly acquired contraception knowledge throngh newspaper

magazines

radio and TV

or from schoolmates and friends.Conclusion College students have some knowledge in contraception but further education is needed in the choice and use of contraceptive methods.
