Objective To study the mental health of senior staff and to provide the basis for the physical and mental health of staffs.Method 346 senior staffs of Zhejiang University were investigated by the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire（EPQ）

the Symptom Checklist 90（SCL-90） and Stress Reaction Questionnaires（SRQ）.Results 19 staffs（5.49%） were diagnosed with mental problems which single factor was not less then 2 points.The correlation of SRQ scores and E factors and L factors were negative which were-0.278 and-0.326（p<0.01）

SRQ and N factors were positively correlated（r=0.584

p<0.01）

SRQ score and P factor had no significant correlation.Conclusion The mental problem has occurred to part of senior staff.The physical and mental health of staffs should be given special attention.
