radioimmunoassay and base saturation picric acid test. Results: Compared with the control βgroup

the level of plasm MDA

Scr and 2-MG significantly increased in 23 ESRD patients undergoing regular (HDP<)0.01. However

after therapy of CAVH

the level of MDA decreased much more than before CAVH therapy

with an elevated MDA in ultrafiltrate. Conclusion: The level of lipid peroxidation in ESRD undergoing HD was increased

and the therapy of CAVH may diminish the level of plasm MDA .
