Functions of vascular endothelial growth factor, estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor in the pathogenesis mechanism of hypomenorrhea
Objective:To discuss the possible pathogenesis mechanisms of hypomenorrhea by investigating the expression of estrogen receptors(ER)
progesterone receptors(PR)
vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and kinase insert domaincontaining receptor(KDR)in the endometrium. Methods:We designed a prospective study on forty patients with hypomenorrhea as study group
and forty women with normal menorrea as control
all of them being treated in The First Affiliated Hospital Of Chongqing Medical University between September
2004 and December
2005.Follicle stimulatinghormone(FSH)
luteinizinghormone(LH)
estradiol(E2)
prolactin(PRL)
progesterone(P)and testosterone(T)were examined by ELISA.And the expression of ER、PR、VEGF and KDR were examined by immunohistochemical semiquantitative nalysis. Results:There was no significant difference in FSH
LH
E2
PRL
P and T between the two groups(P>0.05).The expressions were remarkably of endometrial ER、VEGF and KDR in the study group as extremely lower than those in the control group
and the statistical difference between the two groups were all significant(P<0.05).And there was no significant difference in the expression of PR between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:ER、VEGF and KDR may be relevant to the occurrence of hypomenorrhea.
