Effect of Xuebijing injection combined with somatostatin on inflammatory factors and adverse reactions in patients with acute pancreatitis
Objective To investigate the effect of Xuebijing injection combined with somatostatin on inflammatory factors and adverse reactions in patients with acute pancreatitis to provide a reference for clinical treatment. Methods A total of 78 patients with acute pancreatitis admitted to the Luohe Sixth People’s Hospital from August 2019 to July 2020 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were assigned to the experimental group and control group by random number table
with 39 cases for each group. Patients in the control group received somatostatin and patients in the experimental group Xuebijing in addition to the treatment in the control group. The levels of interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) before treatment and at 5 days after treatment were compared between the two groups; the time to remission of clinical symptoms and length of hospital stay were compared between the two groups. The incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment
there was no significant difference in IL-6 and TNF-α levels between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment
TNF-α and IL-6 levels in the two groups were lower than those before treatment
and the experimental group was lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The time to remission of clinical symptoms and length of hospital stay in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion Xuebijing injection in combination with somatostatin has marked clinical effectiveness in treating acute pancreatitis. It can effectively improve the level of inflammatory factors and promote the recovery of patients
with a high safety profile. These advantages hold promise for a wider application of this technique clinically.
