Effects of multi ple forms of extended care on self-efficacy and recurrence rates in patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease
Objective To explore the effect of multiple forms of extended care on self-efficacy and recurrence rate in patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Methods A total of 98 patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease admitted to a hospital in Zhoukou from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected and assigned to a study group and a control group using the random number table method
with 49 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received conventional nursing interventions
and patients in the study group multiple forms of extended care in addition to the conventional nursing. The out-of-hospital compliance behavior
health knowledge mastery
psychological status [Beck Anxiety Inventory(BAI) and Beck Depression Inventory(BDI-21) scores]
Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS) scores
General Self Efficacy Scale(GSES) scores
Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale(ESCA) scores
inflammatory factors [interleukin-1β(IL-1β)
tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)] levels and relapse rate were compared between the two groups. Results The proportion of medication compliance
regular work and rest
healthy diet and rehabilitation exercise in the study group was higher than that in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Patients in the study group after the intervention had higher health knowledge mastery than that in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The BAI and BDI-21 scores and IL-1β and TNF-α levels of patients in the study group were lower than those in the control group after the intervention
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The GSES scores and ESCA and SSRS scores of patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group after the intervention
and the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The use of multiple forms of extended care in patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease can improve patients’ health knowledge mastery and social support
