Postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation training in patients with pelvic floor dysfunction
Objective To investigate the effect of postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation training in patients with pelvic floor dysfunction(PFD). Methods A total of 60 PFD patients treated in a hospital in Kaifeng City from January 2020 to September 2021 were selected as participants
who were assigned to a control group and an experimental group by random number table method
with 30 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received conventional nursing
and the patients in the experimental group received postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation training after receiving conventional nursing. The electrophysiological indexes of pelvic floor muscles
the improvement of symptoms of impaired pelvic floor function
and Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire(PISQ-12) scores were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results The muscle voltages of type I and type II muscle fibers in the two groups after intervention were higher than those before the intervention
and the muscle voltages in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The proportion of lumbosacral pain
vaginal dryness
vaginal relaxation
urinary frequency
and urinary urgency after the intervention in the experimental group was lower than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The levels of serum leptin and inflammatory factors in the two groups after the intervention were lower than those before the intervention
with the experimental group lower than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The PFIQ-7 score of the patients in the experimental group was lower than that of the control group at 2 months and 6 months after delivery
and the PISQ-12 score was higher than that of the control group at the same time points
the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The use of postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation training in patients with PFD can reduce the impairment of pelvic floor function
promote the recovery of pelvic floor muscle strength
alleviate inflammation in the body
and improve the quality of life of patients.
