Clinical eff icacy of gammaglobulin in combination with metoprolol in the treatment of children with Kawasaki disease combined with arrhythmia
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of gammaglobulin in combination with metoprolol in the treatment of children with Kawasaki disease combined with arrhythmia and the effects on matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)
immune function [T lymphocytes(CD3
+
)
helper T cells(CD4
+
)
cytotoxic T cells(CD8
+
)
CD4
+
/CD8
+
)]
and inflammatory factors in patients.Methods Sixty pediatric patients with Kawasaki disease accompanied by arrhythmia admitted to a hospital in Luohe City from May 2019 to November 2020 were selected as subjects and assigned to an observation group(30 cases) and a control group(30 cases) according to different treatments.Patients in the control group were treated with metoprolol
while patients in the observation group were treated with gammaglobulin combined with metoprolol
and both groups received consecutive treatment for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the 2 groups
and the MMP
immune function and inflammatory factors were compared between the 2 groups before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.67%
which was higher than that in the control group(80.00%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P
<
0.05).After treatment
CD3
+
CD4
+
and CD4
+
/CD8
+
were higher in the observation group than those in the control group
and MMP and CD8
+
in the observation group were lower than those in the control group
and the differences were all statistically significant(P
<
0.05).After treatment
the levels of calcitoninogen
tumor necrosis factor-α
C-reactive protein
and interleukin-6 were lower in the observation group than those in the control group
and the differences were all statistically significant(P
<
0.05).The rate of adverse reactions during treatment was 10.00% in the observation group patients
which was higher than that in the control group(6.67%)
and the difference was not statistically significant(P
>
0.05).Conclusion Gammaglobulin combined with metoprolol has good clinical efficacy in the treatment of pediatric Kawasaki disease combined with arrhythmia
and can effectively improve MMP
immune function
and inflammatory factor levels in patients
which is worth promoting in clinical practice as a safe treatment.
