Effect of participatory co-treatment nursing model on nursing quality and family satisfaction of stroke patients in ICU
Objective To explore the effects of participatory co-treatment nursing model on nursing quality and family satisfaction of stroke patients in ICU. Methods According to the implementation time of co-treatment model in our hospital(January 2019)
73 stroke patients in ICU before implementation(January to December 2018) were enrolled in the control group
and 72 stroke patients in ICU after implementation(January to December 2019) were enrolled in the observation group. The patients in the control group were given traditional nursing
and the patients in the observation group were given participatory co-treatment nursing model. The nursing quality of the two groups before intervention and 4 weeks after intervention were compared. The occurrence of adverse events and complications were compared between the two groups during 4 weeks of nursing. The satisfaction of family members was compared between the two groups when they were discharged from hospital. Results After 4 weeks of intervention
the scores of visibility
reliability
responsiveness
assurance and empathy in the two groups were higher than those before intervention
and the scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse events and complications in the control group was 20.55% and 27.40% respectively
which was higher than that in the observation group(6.95% and 11.12%). The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The total satisfaction of the patients’ family in the control group was 86.31%
which was lower than that in the observation group(95.83%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of participatory co-treatment nursing model stroke patients in ICU can reduce the incidence of adverse events and complications
