Hcy, glucose and lipid levels in women at different stages of pregnancy and their effects on neonatal body mass
blood glucose and lipid levels in women at different stages of pregnancy and their effects on the body mass of newborns. Methods A total of 244 healthy pregnant women who underwent pregnancy tests until delivery in a hospital in Liaoning Province from January 2017 to March 2018 were selected for the study. The levels of Hcy
glucose and lipids in pregnant women in the first trimester(less than 12 weeks of gestation)
second trimester(12-27 weeks of gestation) and third trimester(after27 weeks of gestation) were compared
and the effect of Hcy
glucose and lipid levels on the body mass of newborns was analyzed. Results The differences were not statistically significant(P >0.05) when comparing the FPG levels of pregnant women in different pregnancy stages; the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05) when comparing the TG
TC
LDL and HDL levels of pregnant women in different pregnancy levels
with the TG
TC and LDL levels gradually increasing with the progress of pregnancy
and the HDL level reaching the highest value in the second trimester; the differences were statistically significant when comparing the Hcy levels of pregnant women in different pregnancy stages(P <0.05)
and the level of this index was the lowest in the first trimester. The differences between the levels of Hcy and LDL in the third trimester in the normal neonatal mass group and the abnormal neonatal mass group were not statistically significant(P >0.05); the levels of TG
TC and FPG in the third trimester in the abnormal neonatal mass group were higher than those in the normal neonatal mass group
and the levels of HDL were lower than those in the normal neonatal mass group
and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the levels of TG
TC
FPG
and HDL in pregnant women in the third trimester were independent risk factors for neonatal body mass(P <0.05). Conclusion There are differences in lipid levels among pregnant women in different pregnancy stages
and their lipid levels tend to increase as the pregnancy stage advances; abnormal lipid and glucose levels in the third trimester have a negative impact on neonatal body mass.
