An Evaluation of the Effect of Romethamine on the Bleeding Prevention in Cesarean Section
Objective To evaluate the effect of romethamine on the intra-operative and post-operative hemostasis in cesarean section for women with high risk of maternal hemorrhage and observe the incidence of adverse reactions.Method Pregnant women with high risk of hemorrhage for cesarean section in our hospital were randomly divided into a control group with 134 cases and an observation group with 123 cases.Patients in the control group had palace local injection of oxytocin 20 IU and intravenous infusion of oxytocin 20 IU in the operation and those the observation group had palace local injection of oxytocin 20 IU and romethamine 250μg to calculate the amount of bleeding in the operation
2hand 24 hafter the cesarean section and to observe the incidence of adverse reactions in patients. Results In the observation group
the amount of bleeding in the operation
2hand 24 hafter the cesarean section was lower than the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences(P<0.05)in the incidence of adverse reactions like vomiting
diarrhea
fever
etc after maternal treatment between the two groups. Conclusion The application of romethamine for women with high risk of maternal hemorrhage during cesarean section can significantly reduce the amount of bleeding during and after the operation with good effect and no serious adverse reactions.
