Objective To discuss the effect of the whole course doula delivery in women’s first childbirth.Method To regard the 360 voluntary pregnant women undergoing virginal delivery as objects of research and divided them into the research group and comparison group at random with each containing 180 persons.The former received a one-to-one accompanying to guide the correct application of the Lamaze childbirth method of minus pain and closely monitor the conditions of the mother and baby and the delivery process

while the conventional nursing method was used on the latter.Results The percentages of 0degree and I degree pain of the research group were markedly higher than those of the comparison group

while the situations about the II degree and III degree pain were reversed for the two groups

and the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.In addition

the percentage of cesarean delivery of the research group was lower than that of the comparison group with also a shorter delivery time

and the differences were statistically significant（P<0.01）.Conclusion The whole course doula delivery can alleviate the pain of women of first childbirth

shorten the delivery process

lower the rate of childbirth by cesarean section

and has excellent delivery prognosis effect.
