Considering the situation of medical education in local universities

encouraging medical students by early exposure to clinic

scientific research and social practice with the concept of Three early education

thus can meet with the needs of national medical education coordination strategy and medical education certification. On the basis of identifying Three Early education and its relationship with self-learning

a new learning mode for medical students in local universities was constructed and evaluated by adopting a series measures

such as: establishing the summer semester

training PBL supervisors

setting up the Three Classes

creating the online learning platform

promoting the reform of experimental teaching

applying the PBL curriculum model flexibly

reforming the curriculum assessment method

and consolidating the link of basic medicine and clinical medicine. At last

to find out the existing problems of self-learning from the view of stakeholders

and then put forward ideas of improvement as well as strategies of problem solving.
