MOOCs refers to massive open online courses. In the past recent years

medical MOOCs was developed rapidly across the world. The application of MOOCs in internal medicine education is feasible with the construction of MOOCs in internal medicine

and the improvement of college student quality. We reviewed the progress of MOOCs in the medical teaching. we analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of MOOCs in internal medicine teaching. As a major medical course

there are many advantages for the internal medicine MOOCs such as promoting the widespread of prestigious teaching resources

enhancement of students’ subjectivity and innovation of teaching modality. Meanwhile

the caveat of limited MOOCs resource in internal medicine and the motivation variance among students should be noted and would be resolved with further development.
