[Abstract] Objective To acquire the source composition characters of the advanced students through analyzing the regional distribution of advanced student during the five years in a comprehensive hospital in Sichuan

so as to provide some references for improving the advanced studies influence of the hospital. Methods To conduct statistical analysis on the source information of advanced students of West China Hospital between January 2010 and 2014 December

and calculate the composition rate of each region. Results The number of advanced students was increasing year by year from 2010 to 2014，the sum number of advanced students is 7478. 66.88% of the advanced students were from Sichuan area

and 33.12% were from outside of Sichuan. The region in Sichuan with highest composition rate of advanced students and advanced studies influence was Chengdu

and the composition rate was 36.99%

while it was Yunnan got the highest number outside of Sichuan with 5.31%. Conclusion The advanced students source of the hospital was extensive

but the number was relatively concentrated

we should stabilize the advanced students source of local regions as well as expand the source of other places and strengthen connotation construction

and respond to the new circumstance of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system positively.
