Objective to evaluate the effect of the PAD class model in medical English writing course Methods the five-year program medical students were randomly divided into two groups among which the PAD teaching pattern and the traditional teaching pattern were carried out respectively. The test results and questionnaire were analyzed at the end of the course. Results PAD class was more popular with students compared with traditional class. Students in PAD class were more concentrated and engaged with better performance in logics and vocabularies. Conclusions PAD class can optimize the teaching efficiency of basic knowledge
