Objective The medical college students' views on the current college English curriculum

Methods The questionnaire on setting the college English curriculum system of Xi 'an Medical University ，which contains 14 observation points falling into three demensions of the motivation of learning college English

the satisfaction with college English curriculum and the need for English for special purposes and the follow-up English courses

is designed based on literature review issued via wjx.cn network platform in January 2018 to investigate non-English major undergraduates and statistics and analysis is carried out automatically. Results The invalid questionnaires are automatically screened out by setting a variety of screening rules

and the difference is statistically significant. Conclusion The current college English curriculum system and teaching methods can't adapt to the medical college students’needs and can't satisfy their demand for follow-up courses. Therefore

Under the guidance of the “College English Teaching Guide”issued by Ministry of Education

it is explored to construct a multi-level and diverse college English curriculum system highlighting the characteristics of medical colleges and meeting different students’ learning goals
