This paper was concerned with our experience in diagnosis and surgical treatment of 200 Cases of carcinoma of the pancreas and periampullary from 1958 to 1982.Pancreatoduodenoctomy was performed in 27 cases.Palliative bypass operations was performed in 116 cases.Exploratory laparotomy was performed in 47 cases.Operative mortality of three types procedures were 11.1%

and 2 months respectively.A year survival rates after operations were 55.56±9.56%

and 2.39± 2.36% respectively(Live Table Method).These data suggest that curative effect of pancreatoduo- denectomy were better than palliative bypass operations or exploratory laparotomy
