e have compared the histochemical and immunohistochemical staining propertis of 20 en-docervical adenocarcinomas with 20 endometrial adenocarcinomas

In endocervical adenocarcinomas。positive stainings were found in 18/20 of the tumors for AB

for toluidin-blue。 Inendometrial adenocarcinomas

posifive stainings were 17/ 20 14/ 20. 9/ 20 respectively。 CEApositive essults were found in 14/20 of endocervical adenocarcinomas and in 11/20 of endometrialcases。 All endocervical adenocarcinomas were negtive for vimentin

and weak staining for vi-mentin was found in 11/ 20 of endometrial adenocarcinomas。 The results suggest that thd mucinstains showed no specific staining pattern for either tumor

but the immunohistochemiacl stain-ings for vimentin are of some value in distinction between endocervical and endometrial adeno-Carcinomas。
