Bonefos was used for pain control of bone metastasis. Thirty - six patients with bone metastasis were addministerted a single oral dose or oral combination injection. Follow up study (at least 14 days)revealed a total pain relief rate of 77.8%.ln patients with primary tumors of breast cancer and lung cancer

the effective rate were 82.4% and 77.8% respectively. No obivious side effect was observed. Bonefos combined with chemotherapy is vecommended. The effect was positively correlated with the course of treatment. No hepercalcemia was foumd in this series. lt is suggested that Bonefos is safe and effective in the management of pain of bone metastasis.
