The factors influencing return of fertility after vasovasostomy have been studied using four techniques of vasovasostomy. From March 1980 to December 1994
88 cases of vasovasostomy were carried out and 81 patients were followed up. The results showed that the factors influencing return of fertility after vasovasostomy are (1) the vasovasostomy techniques
(2) the age of patients
(3) the vas anastomosis times
(4)the vent patency of vas anastomosis and (5)the obstructive interval time from vasectomy to vasovasostomy. Recovery of fertility does not correlate with (1) the presence or absence of aperm of aeminal fluid in the was deferens on the testicular side af the obstrucitort at the time of vasovasostomy
and (2) the presence or absonce of a sperm granuloma at the side of the vasectomy
