by culturing pituitary GH adenoma cells in vitro during pregrafting
determining pituitaryhormone level in the culture India and the blood of the implanted rats during preoperation

andobserving microencapsulated GH adenoma cells under light and electron microscope at postgrafting
we tried tofind whether microencapsulated GH adenoma cells could survive and secrete normal GH
or the receptor animalcould have a high PRL blood concentration and how long the integrity of microencapsulation could maintain invivo. The results showed that the microencapsulated GH adenoma cells remained viable and had secretionfunction
and most of the structure of the microencapsulation were normal in size 12 weeks after transplantation. The concentrations of PRL were fairly high in vitro GH adenoma cells culture media during preoperation butthere were no significant differences of the concentrations of PRL and GH in the blood of animal at postgraftingcompared with those of pregrafting. The results suggest that microencapsulated pituitary GH adenoma cells wereused as a source of donors and its prospects are bright in the selective pituitary transplantation.
