Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of combined detection of tumor markers on elderly patients with cholangiocarcinoma. Methods:Radioimmunoassay and immunoradiometricassay were adopted to detect CEA
CA19-9 and CA50 in venous serum of 35 elderly patients with cholangiocarcinoma and 31 cases of benign bile duct disease.Results:CA19-9and CA50 in serum had better sensitivity in diagnosing cholangiocarcinoma
and the rates were 80.00% and 91.48% respectively.CEA in serum had the best specificity with the rate as 87.10%.Parallel testing was superior to series testing in combined detection with the sensitivity remaining as 88.64% and the accuracy promoted. Conclusion:The combined detection of tumor markers had cooperative function in diagnosing the elderly patients with chola ngiocarcinoma
with the accuracy promoted
and the rates of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis lowered.
