Objective:To observe the biological properties of bone marrow stromal cells(MSCs) in vitro in Wistar rats for inducing MSCs to differentiate into neurons and transplantating MSCs to treat cerebral ischemic stroke.Methods:The Wistar rats for 4 weeks old were sacrified

and the biological properties of the cells observed by phasecontrast microscope.Cell surface markers were evaluated by indirect immunofluorescence cycochemistry staining in primary and different generation cells.Results:95.18% and 94.36% of the third generation cells showed positivity to CD54 and CD44(MSCs surface marker).The percentage of hematopoietic lineage marker CD14 decreased obviously from 23.19% in primal culture of the cells to 2.37% in the third generation.Conclusion:The third generation cells can be used as the seed-cells for study of cells induce and differentiation and the resoure of cells transplantation.
