Objective:to ivestigate the effect of continous blood purification(CBP)as multiple organ support therapy in ketoacidosis with multiple organ dysfunction syndrone.Methods:from October 2001 to December 2007

35 cases ofosis with multiple organ dysfunction syndrone in our ICU and the fourth pepole hospital of Zigong were managed with continuous venovenous hemofiltration(CVVH).of these

changes in internal environment

hemodynamics

oxygenation index

liver/renal function and APACHE-Ⅱ score from baseline were recorded.Results:CVVH was shown to succfessfully corrert the fluid and electrolyte disturbanse

improve internal environment

blood oxygenation

blood pressure

and reduce the use of vasoactive2 agents.pro-inflammatory mediators were also removed with CCVH.compared with baseline

there was a significant reduction in the 48 h APACHE-Ⅱ score of these patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:CBP

with its precise modulation on the internal envieonment

may provide function suport and improvement to multiple organs in patients with critical conditions

and redused the death rate.to ketoacidosis with multiple organ dysfunction syndrone.
